Jan 23rd vs Chilliwack PREVIEW

The West Kelowna Warriors will take on the Chilliwack Chiefs just 24 hours after each team dropped their Friday night tilts.

The Chiefs have had a tough road trip through the interior, losing to both Trail and Penticton. Last night at the SOEC, the Chiefs gave up 5 first period goals and found themselves falling 8-1 to the league-leading Vees, in what was a battle of the top two teams in the BCHL.

The Warriors could not tie the game up late against the Vernon Vipers, as Nick Rutigliano and Rylan Yaremko had the goals. Both Liam Blackburn and Jonathan Desbiens had their streaks snapped, as both were held without a point in last nights action.

Two 20 year olds will start in goal, as Aidan Pelino starts for Chilliwack (18-10, 2.50 GAA, .912 Sv%), and Matthew Greenfield (5-3, 1.94 GAA, .945 Sv%) starts for the Warriors.

West Kelowna will take on Trail on Tuesday night, before heading out and playing 7 games in a row away from Royal LePage Place.

The atmosphere should be great once again in the arena, as the T-REX 10 Grand Shoot to Win will take place in the second intermission, as one fan will have a great opportunity for a big pay day.
